No surprise after the second stage. Peterhansel-Cottret wins. Behind him, Novitsky-Schulz takes the second place, Lethier-Lurquin finishes third.

After the intermediate time, Stéphane Peterhansel - Jean-Paul Cottret lead the second stage. Behind him, Leonid Novitsky - Andreas Schulz, Jean-Luc Blanchemain - Alain Brousse.

Francisco Pita-Humberto Goncalves, crew 322, on Toyota, are stopped kilometer 9 because of a mechanical problem (suspension).

Cars start the second stage. Stéphane Peterhansel, winner of the first one, leads the general classification.

Cyril Despres wins the second stage. At the arrival, Marc Coma follows at 2'25", Viladoms at 5'04", Olivier Pain at 5'40", Pal-Anders Ullevalster at 6'03". At the temporary general classification, Jorgi Viladoms is still ahead but the gap begins to be filled up.

At the general classification, after the first stage, Jorgi Viladoms is the leader of the race. In second place, Marc Coma. Olivier Pain comes third. Cyril Despres, perturbed by the dust, is 4th.

Juan Barreda, who just got through the first intermediate time, outstrip Despres for 2".

Cyril Despres realized the best intermediate time ahead of Marc Coma and Pal-Anders Ullevalseter. Jorgi Viladoms is fifth at 3'57".

Race has started for the Bikes. Winner of the first stage, Jorgi Viladoms is opening the road.

This morning, after the accident of a car from the organization crew on the road to the start of the stage, medical means have been mobilized. The starts is postponed. The stage will only include one loop today, instead of two expected.

This second stage is long but the pace will be high. Without doubt the fastest stage of the rally.
We must remain attentive to navigation, although many military forts mark out the route.
Departure with off tracks for 17 km before 50 km of technical tracks back to north. Then 70 kilometers of
easy tracks very fast, with many parallel : ideal to overtake but attention to dust!
